Care Instructions

With the right care, your bag will keep looking great, just like the day you first fell in love with it. It is made from high quality, cruelty-free man-made leather. It’s a crafted material that gives you the beauty, structure, and elegance of genuine leather, without the use of animal products.
We’re proud of how it looks, feels, and how practical it is for your everyday life. While it's not genuine leather that lasts forever, a man-made material offers a natural life cycle. With proper care, it will continue to be beautiful and functional for a long time. It’s the one you’ll keep reaching for on your busiest mornings and slowest weekends.
Here are a few simple and effective tips to help keep your bag looking great for as long as possible:
- Handle with Care: Treat your bag with care to prevent damage to the material. Avoid dragging or rubbing it against rough surfaces, as this can cause scuffing. Be mindful of sharp, pointed objects. If your bag has a lot of metal hardware like chain straps, be mindful of excessive friction on the material. Handle your bag with gentle movements and avoid placing it on abrasive surfaces.
- Avoid Excessive Moisture or Heat: Avoid exposing your bag to excessive moisture or prolonged periods of rain or direct sunlight. Exposure to these harsh conditions may weaken the material over time. Metal accessories also react to humidity. If your bag does get wet, gently pat it dry with a soft clean cloth and allow it to air dry naturally. Avoid using an abrasive cloth and rubbing or wiping heavily as this can cause friction to the material and may potentially result to damage. Ensure the bag is completely dry before storing it.
- Store Properly: When not in use, store your leather bag in a dry place away from direct sunlight (example but not limited to: do not store your bag in a car with hot temperature/left under the sun). Put it inside a breathable protective covering to protect it from dust and debris, and store in a proper area. Avoid placing the bag in overcrowded or tight spaces where it may rub against other items. Putting pressure on the bag may damage the material, and may also deform its shape.
- Gentle Cleaning: Wipe your bag gently with a soft, microfiber cloth along with a mild leather cleaner/conditioner. You may also use a soft damp cloth with mild soap, then wipe it with a dry microfiber cloth. Before using any cleaner, remember to test first on a small, inconspicuous area of the bag to ensure compatibility. When you are cleaning your bag, it is important to wipe in a gentle motion. Avoid rubbing heavily and using abrasive cleaners, chemicals and solvents because doing this may damage the material.
- Use Regularly: While man-made leather isn’t as flexible as genuine leather, regular use helps maintain its shape and softness. Don’t leave it stored away for long periods of time. The more you carry it, the better it’ll feel, and the less likely it is to stiffen and show signs of wear. Just be sure not to overstuff it to avoid putting unnecessary strain on the material.
