It all started 12 years ago when a young employed professional dreamt of something she could call her own.
Hi! I’m Theriz, and I am the woman who started nath&nate.
I have always liked bags. I don't focus on brand names; instead, I prioritize the quality and usability of the bag I choose to invest in.
It is essential for me to find one that aligns with my specific needs – can it accommodate my daily essentials? Is it durable and easy to maintain? Does it exude the right level of sophistication to complement my work attire?
These factors are at the forefront of my considerations when selecting a bag, and I'm confident that many other women share the same criteria.
Aside from my love for bags, I have always known I liked to conceptualize and create things. Attention to detail is important for me in everything I do because it helps bring my creative thoughts to life with precision.
So with that passion for bags and creativity, I combined both and my first bag brand was born. The initial brand ran from 2012 to 2022 - a good, fruitful, and valuable decade! The first brand sold bags that were produced locally and made for daily use. Fast forward to 2021, I decided to overcome the local production challenges and take our products to the next level.
After a very long period of searching and talking to potential bag makers overseas, as well as creating a lot of bag samples and styles, I found my manufacturing partners.
They not only specialize in crafting bags for known international brands, but more importantly, they also share our brand’s values when it comes to product quality and sustainability, responsible and efficient production practices, ethical sourcing of materials, and are also very knowledgeable about the latest bag making techniques.
My manufacturing partners Daniele and Lorenzo employ a small and dedicated team of expert bag artisans. They started making bags since 1990 and are very passionate about their craft.
I love how their attention to detail mirrors mine - they are very patient in making sure that I get what I want in every product - from choosing the right material for a specific style, perfecting the prototype, pattern making, cutting of the leather, assembly of parts, stitching, attaching the hardware, putting the finishing touches, upto the packaging and importing of the products to Manila.
With this, the brand nath&nate was born. It was launched in July 2022 and has so far released 11 bag styles. Moving ahead to the present, we are grateful for the immense support that was shown to us both by our longstanding followers who have been with us since our initial brand, to our new followers who found themselves resonating with the products that nath&nate offers.
